Stephen Nguyen Senior Physiotherapist

Stephen Nguyen

Senior Physiotherapist

Graduated 2012

Stephen graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney in 2012. Over the past eleven years, he has gained extensive experience working across the public hospital system, private practice, and the Disability and Aged Care Sector. Throughout his career, Stephen has treated patients of all ages and has developed expertise in managing a range of musculoskeletal, developmental, and neurological conditions. 

 

Being born and raised in Sydney, Stephen enjoys exploring the different cuisines and restaurants Sydney has to offer. In his spare time, he plays Soccer and Oz-tag and enjoys binging educational YouTube videos and Netflix. 

 

Stephen firmly believes in patient-centered care. He strives to work with each patient to involve them in the decision-making process to develop a program that suits their interests and needs. Kindness and empathy are at the core of his treatment approach as he believes these qualities are not only essential in a therapist but also in every human interaction. 

Christopher Chow Senior Physiotherapist

Christopher Chow

Senior Physiotherapist

Graduated 2016

Chris graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney in 2016. He has experience with musculoskeletal, developmental, and neurological conditions. He has found his calling in the Disability and Aged Care sector, where he has been working with patients of all ages and abilities for the past nine years. 

  

Originally from Canada, he has a love for sports and music, particularly Country music.  

When he's not working, you can find Chris binge-watching TV shows and comedy movies.  

  

Chris believes in making therapy sessions active, fun and engaging. With his friendly and compassionate demeanour, Chris creates a warm and welcoming environment for his patients, working with each person towards their own meaningful goals.

Jemma Grunsell-Kerr

Head of Operations

Jemma brings over 12 years of experience with Disability and Health to her role as Operations Manager at People First Therapy. This experience, combined with an Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management and a Diploma in Counselling has assisted Jemma to have a deep understanding of the complexities involved in supporting individuals with diverse needs.

The focus of Jemma’s expertise has been in assisting participants with degenerative diseases, complex trauma, terminal diagnoses, rare diseases, and high complexities/high needs support.

Jemma’s personal journey navigating the Health and NDIS systems for her daughter, Marli following an Acquired Brain Injury and complex medical journey has fuelled her dedication to enhancing support systems for others in similar situations.
